Nan bread recipe please...
« on: April 17, 2008, 15:31:25 »
Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe for Nan bread?

I have tried making it but have not had good results.

I use a normal bread recipe but roll it out to the right shape and then top either the garlic butter, like an Italian garlic bread but use coriander instead of parsley.

To make the almond and raisin one I roll out put the mix of nuts fruit and spices in the middle and fold, sealing with water. Roll to the shape and prove for 20 minutes

Hot Oven 8-10  mins.

Seems to me you need to get the shape right prove for less time than normal bread, bake it quickly and bobs yer uncle

Madhur Jaffrey's never fails!

It's the amount of Yoghurt that 'makes it'!
