;D  This Chick is her 50th.   The BBC Cameras have been up here and reporting the event on the News.  One famous Lady Osprey.  Hope No. 51 and 52 make it as well.

 ;D ;D

It is a great webcam. On southern counties radio the other day a bloke rang in and said his wife said  the best gift she ever got was a birdcam nest box. Gave me an idea!

Googled and decided to get mother in law and early gift for her birthday, just set it up tonight, atached nestbox to fence and farted about with the cable through the wall and got a cheap telly from tesco and hey presto! A nestbox cam!

She was chuffed. despite going to bed at 0230 cos playing on the boat and having to get up at 0630! I managed to set it up when I finished work.

Just waiting now for something to go in it! ;D

With thew tv and box and cam etc it cost about 120 which is quite a lot but some of the prices on the net were horrendous!

We bought from handykam which were by far the cheapest we could find.

also watching all the springwatch cams on line and the rspb osprey one.

What nice son-in-law you are Andy :)  I hope the birds start to use the box soon after all your efforts.
The Osprey cam is great but a pity that only one chick has hatched. Have you seen the USA Osprey nestcam, not a patch on the SWT one.  It is on the same page near the bottom.
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Osprey cam has 3 chicks?

Wife and M-in-L keep flicking the telly on to check if anything in the box.

Came back today and said smile if you have looked at the cam today!!!!!!

Big grin......

I was at the RSPB site at Boat of Garten on Tuesday and watched the Ospreys.  3 chicks have hatched and thriving.  Springwatch is filming up there as most of you  will know.  I was pleased to see laods of Red Squirrels as well.  I had hoped to see the Crossbills but none had been spotted that morning.  Its a wonderful area for wildlife.   ;) ;)
