Biscuit (bonio type) recipe anyone?
« on: March 31, 2008, 23:45:52 »
I would much prefer to make their biscuits than buy, even though bonio are good. It would be nice to know exactly what goes in them and vary the ingredients sometimes.

So if anyone does make their own and has a recipe you dont mind sharing, I would love to hear about it :D

dog biscuits in my bread maker but I suppose it would be okay without one
1 cup chicken stock, warmed to a temp of 21 to 28 c
2 tablespoons dried, skimmed milk
2 tablespoons olive oil
they put in half a teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
2 cups of white bread flour
1 1/2 cups plain brown flour
1 teaspoon yeast
stick it all in the bread maker on dough
knead briefly, roll out and cut with cookie cutters, bake in a pre-heated oven at 200c gas 6 for 10 mins then turn down to 150 gas mark 2 for 10 to 15 mins, can be stored in an airtight tin..hope this helps  ;D

Thank you Aromatic :D...........

Manics I tried your recipe, I had no complaints! Worked fine without a breadmaker  ;)
