When to plant Potatoes
« on: March 29, 2008, 08:21:25 »
Hi I'm a 1st year allotmenteur, I've dug up 50% of the Blackberry out of heavy clay. I've also got a heated cold frame propergating ton's of seeds that are about 2 inches in size .

I've heard the forecast for the south east isn't good for the next month, but I have chitting potatoes that're getting soft - should I plant them in?

I would... it takes several weeks for them to come through and if frost is still likely you can earth up and cover the new foilage with soil...  ;D
