Magnolia liliflora Susan
« on: April 02, 2008, 12:42:58 »
Hi! J Parkers has a Magnolia liliflora Susan for 3 quid. Before I give in to the bargain temptation, I'd like to know how long would it take to flower and how easy would it be to look after it? Does anyone know? It says it is supplied in a pot, 45-60cm high. Thanks!  :)

I'd rather go to a nursery & see/select what I'm buying.

Also, I'd rather pay £10-20 for something thats going to flower this year/next rather than wait 5 years.

I've found Parkers good for bulbs, but less so for things in the green.

3 squids is cheap, just depends on how much of a gambler you are.

I have a few of them in stock, they were that size 2 years ago, a bit bigger now but no flower yet. They are still in pots though.

Thanks for your replies, in that case I don't think I'll bother with it. I won't be living here in the long term, so I might never see it flower  :-\
