Asparagus peas
« on: July 16, 2004, 13:13:10 »
Grew some because I was given some seed in a seed swap and because flower said pick them and eat them when young.  So they grew and have made very attractive little plants with deep red flowers.  I picked a handful today and figured I would just lightly steam them and eat them.  Sound about right??

You tell us-I tried them once but they cropped very sporadically, and if left too long they went -well not nice ,would be a kind thing to say. A good member here told me to pick as soon as the few are ready, then freeze and repeat until there are enough for a meal.

As opposed to 'snap' peas - which don't freeze? = Tim
