A bit grey with some sunshine and a few showers. Still better than much of late.

Really frightening drive from Greenwich to East Sussex. Blinding spray, heavy cloudbursts, just happy to be safe at home. Hoping against hope to plant a new wave of runner beans and squashes tomorrow.

a "wave" of runner beans? That sounds far too much like a lot of deep moving water for my liking.  :-\

I wish you luck with the planting - I've still not got all of my first batch in. Wet, wet, wet.  :(

ah yes, that is the word, autumnal. That is what today feels like, cool with light winds and a fine drizzle just starting. Makes me want to knit

Yesterday was lovely first thing but then in the afternoon/evening it rained for 6 solid hours.

Nice at the lottie early this morning, rain forecast again later.

Now that is generous. If you could hang on to it for a while I'll PM when we run short.... maybe next spring?  ;)

Rochford Essex. Another dead loss as far as the lottie. It has rained on and off all day. Reasonably dry at the mo but the ground will be undiggable if there is such a word. We have been lucky here so far. Although heavy rain at times no real damage done. Potatoes not as good as normal but plenty of courgettes and marrows. Beans are coming along nicely and more peas than ever before. Best brassiccas but plenty of them there slugs crawling everywhere.  Problem is keeping up with the weeding on rain soaked soil. The boots are very heavy with the mud. Not much tho' to put up with compared to others.
