I just cannot believe it has gone from so cold to so hot in only a few days. Last week I was struggling to keep off the frosts and now everything is wilting in the heat.

A cooling wind is blowing in through the curtains....

............. and it needs to  >:( having spent the last 2 hours so & so-ing about trying to get my father to try an electric reclining chair for his comfort >:( He wanted me to stay for the rest of the evening while he sat in it...... then, the final "hot spot" was, he wanted cushions on the floor to put his feet on for when he has his dinner.  ::)

......finally he went back to the original old chair that he had complained about all day!!!!!!!!!

Why I didn't just wander off to the plot in the first place rather than try to help out I don't know.  :-\

Yes and its surprising how dry the ground has got so quickly it was water logged 2 weeks ago and now i have to go a full spades depth to find moisture in the soil.

I suspect tonight i will be going out with a few more buckets than normal to keep everything going.

The clay is cracking at the plot already, need to get some more spent hops to mulch it after another good dousing.

We've still got weather here........ not quite so warm as it was and clouded over at one point followed by three drops of rain and then........back to sunshine.

Cooler tonight.
