Rain Rain & yet more Rain in not sunny at all Kent  :'(
Put my toe on the grass in back garden yesterday & it positively bubbled around me  :o
Didnt even put much weight on it - ground is absolutely sodden so haven't dared to go near my allotment which I expect is only good for mud wrestling at the mo  ;D xjane

Mud wrestling could catch on between gardners and their local water suppliers if there's not a substantial improvement in stored water reserves by now!

Hosepipe bans. Pah!!  ::)

Rain this morning till lunch time.  Clouds a light grey at moment but more rain forecast.  Going to pick some rhubarb which is planted by path.  On heavy clay so no planting at moment as its like a mud patch.  The frogs are loving it and I love them as with a bit of luck their keeping the slugs down.
All I hope is when the weather gets better that it doesn't go from one extreme to the other.

I must admit I'm begining to lose the will to live.  We're on heavy clay and at this rate I'll be turning it into a paddy field.  I do feel for your friend.  My best crop looks as though its going to be the rhubarb this year.

We're fortunate our plot is up the track and we get away with flooding.
But it's been awful for so many folk this year  :(

Wet again in North Sussex. There is a hedgehog complaining between the greenhouses as he can't keep dry but the greenhouse plants are thriving on the rainwater that has been in abundance.

I had a quick peep at my local water authority's reservoir levels......makes surprising reading in some parts of the south, one was up to 87% full.

PS - Watercress beds in the making on those pictures!  :o

Raining !!

Same here but with the odd dry spell inbetween.

I may aim to get the washing out, the next lot in, my dad's shower sorted and some of the long hedge trimmed with hand shears. I don't feel it's a good idea to risk using the electric hedge trimmer.  ::)

OH promised to cut the grass at the allotment with the petrol mower, but it is raining, and it is not very often that he want to do it.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.

You could be in luck with that grass cutting if not - the weekend is promised to be rainless!!  :)

So far beautiful day here with a few 'fluffy' clouds. Wind was a bit chilly first thing. Now going out to carry on gardening.

A lovely day, if a little chilly in the late afternoon sun whilst watching cricket.  It's good to see them on the field after all the bad weather, summer is nudging her feet in the door.  ;)
