It has been snowing here but I think it has just nudged above freezing.  Otherwise very cold, grey and miserable,  but not as cold as yesterday when it was -5 overnight.

Just a very light dusting of snow this morning. Think we might have just about made freezing but lovely blue skies all day.

Wearing 5 layers, two scarves, two pairs of socks and still cold on the sideline watching our son play footie today says it all! Luckily still no snow though.

Beauitful morning blue sky and sunshine but bloody cold in Notts.

Very similar here in Northants, -7.6C over night, now -3.5C  About the same night time minimum as the coldest night all winter last year.  In November!!!  We still have half the leaves on our big apple tree and apples are still hanging on too.  It is like the autumn season has been missed out this year.  Yesterday the ground was solidly frozen all day, getting difficult to dig out parsnips.

Sunny though, at least it is not that depressing grey in grey, quite cheerful really.

I am East of York, and someone who records the weather (and posts it on the internet) in a village near me, recorded -16.4 last night...  I have 5" of snow.  The sun is now out and it's beautiful.  p.s it's still -6... and it's only November...
