There has been some overnight thawing. This equates to - most of the trees being free of snow if they are in a sunny spot but all walking/driving surfaces being slippier than before. Aargh!

Blanket of snow here in W. Essex.  Obviously very heavy in the early hours but now slowing down a bit.  I believe it's forecast to get heavier again later today :)

Snow, snow and more snow! The children at the nursey had an absolute blast-making snowmen and eating the snow! What a shame half the parents didn't think to send them in appropriate clothing! Half of them had no gloves, most no wellies (we keep a stock though) and one even hd no coat.  ::)

Looking at the forecast i think 'tonybloke' might be getting his wish (Snow for Norfolk today). Just goes to prove the old saying doesnt it?  ;)

Here in Dorchester its a nice sunny day, clear skies, very cold but quite pleasant if you wrap up nice and warm. -7.5c last night, and not much higher at 9am this morning.

If you find yourself complaining about the cold be thankful you aren't in New York:
"Fulton, NY . It's snowed for nine straight days there.A There are more than 4-feet of snow on the ground.A It started snowing on December 28th and it's snowed every day since."
