Holy moly, it's raining so hard here at the moment (W. Essex) that I'm thinking I might be floating home - in my office! :o

Here in Canada near Vancouver we had sun all day yesterday and the sun which is just coming up as I type seems to bringing another clear day. Prior to yesterday we had rain for 5 days but still not cold enough to put the central heating on yet and am still having my patio doors open most of the time.

Went down to the allotment for a forage. The wind was whipping across and it was freeeeezing cold. Grabbed a bucket full of goodies and when home to thaw out.

Well it changed, at about 3pm into a dull overcast day, then the rain started at 5.30pm and it's still descending (must empty the rain gauge!).

I can sit in the garden between 5 and 5.30 and its mild as can be, a Robin singing
away , all is still , all is quite, then it turns ------ cold and /or wet and /or windy
soon after ---- well worth getting up early for !

I've turned the rain gauge upside down, it's too depressing to watch it fill up nearly every day :(
