just as i was beginging to lose hope in it brightening up a brisk cold wind has now blown away most of those grey clouds and the sun is shining warmly, back outside in a moment to do outside work, this morning i smartly remained in the greenhouse.

Started off cool and foggy but as soon as I had to pack up & get ready for work the bl**dy sun came out, burned off the fog & lifted the temperature nearly eight degrees.

It's still sunny and warm outside & I'm now stuck in the office until 2200 hrs.

very heavy fog with low temp this morning so i stayed in the greenhouse. the sun came out 14.00 and the afternoon ended on a warm sunny note so i worked outside after lunch.

Sure enough, the sun blazed out in the afternoon in Essex where I spent most of the day and was still shining when I got back to North London this evening. Had to go and water things under cloches and in cold frame this evening - nearly dried out.
