Keeping its head down!

Walking round the garden this morning - (putting away anything that could become airborne in the threatened Monday storm :-\) - I noticed this....


........a poppy in full bloom in early March is pretty stoopid, but this one is only about 3" tall! It must have heard the weather forecast!

What a wonderful surprise!  Maybe the genetics of this are different and worth keeping?
