Miniture orange and Lemon Trees
« on: February 16, 2008, 17:27:27 »
I have also bought these today, but I will be growing them in large pots on my patio at home.  I would love some tips on how to mange them.  Shoudl I bring them inside come winter or will they be ok outdoors or in a cold greenhouse.  Also if I use a very large pot will they still only grow to the miniture size or will they get bigger over the years.

Most advice I've read is that they can suffer indoors unless put in a cool room. I think it's central heating related. Whereabouts are you? I'm growing lemon, lime and calamondin orange outdoors in a reasonably sheltered part of the garden. I don't fleece them in winter and they've been fine. Even the fruits on the kumquat are continuing to ripen in this current frost.
Lesson for life:
1. Breathe in     2. Breathe out     3. Repeat
