HI 5 ROD HERE
JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU KNOW SOMETHINK
YOU DISCOVER YOU KNOW LESS THAN YOU THOUGHT.
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT NITRO CHALK IS  ???.
I VE LOOK IN GARDING CENTRE ALL AROUND AND
HAVE ASK, GETTING WEIRD LOOKS. HELP
                                       ??? ??? ???

Nitro chalk is a quick acting granular fertiliser that adds lime & nitrogen to the soil and should be spread at 1oz/sy in spring & early summer.

If you can't obtain nitro chalk, sulphate of ammonia is a good alternative at 2oz/sy.

If I am not mistaken you can use nitro chalk as a fertilizer boost for your winter onions in April.
