Is anybody going to enter their produce in a show this year?

Thanks for the reminder re. shows.  Gateshead have a big summer flower show, and a friend told me last year that if you enter veggies/flowers in the competitions, you get free entry tickets.  I'll have a look on their site and see if I can find application forms.  :)

Found the form no problem for Gateshead's show, and including crafts, flowers, veggies, special classes, baking, jams/preserves, wine & beer, and pot plants, there are 374 classes.  :o

£1 for up to 5 entries, and 20p each after that.  But it gets you a free £7 entry ticket, so I suppose it's worth it.  :)

As well as the big one in gateshead there is usually one in Saltwell Park a few weeks after.  Its usually advertised on gateshead council website might be a bit early yet though.

Thanks Claire, I'll have a look.

I keep meaning to have a run up to the allotment shop at Saltwell Park.  I bought my spuds there a couple of years ago.
