Buying plants
« on: July 07, 2004, 10:57:35 »
Does anyone know any good mail order plant companies?? My local garden centres are rubbish and I would like to know what I can get my paws on to boost my lottie.  Any suggestions?

Also is there another thread somewhere of all the useful websites that people know? I have quite a stock on my favourites but keep hearing about new ones.

And finally!! Who are Simpsons? Several people have mentioned but do they do mail order? Or are they just a local place.

Many thanks,

piglit

Hi Piglet - you could do alot worse than trying my fave nursery off the internet - Jane Lane Nursery in Lancashire. Visit eBay.co.uk and do a seller's search for JaneLaneNursery or visit their website www.JaneLaneNursery.co.uk - I have had excellent service and some fantastic veggie plants for the lottie - bought 30 really strong strawberry plants (which have fruited this year!) in April for about £7 - they are cheap too!!!!

Piglit,

if you're looking for fruit try Ken Muir http://www.kenmuir.co.uk -all the plants i've had from them are still going, and they're quite helpfull if you talk to them.
