Never grown cacti or succulents before so was really surprised to find this tiny lithops - (given to me ages ago) - giving birth! :o :)

They do it every year, or several times a year if they have plenty of water in the growing season. Keep them bone dry in winter.

Thank you, Robert. I had no idea how they reproduced. I just hope I haven't done it a mischief as I gave it a little drink when I noticed the baby! I know better now.

Kepp it cool and dry this time of year, and don't water at all till you get some springlike weather. Then only give it the merest sprinkle at first, Once succulents are growing freely, you can water as much as you like.
