seed potatoes in b&q

Hi. :)
Just to let you all know that B&Q in york have seed potatoes (maris peer, maris bard and aaron pilot) £3.48 for 2.5kg.
Also onion sets at £1.99 for 100 (few different varieties)

Does anyone know if Wyevale has stock of potatoes and onions "In store",  I am trying to gauge if its worth managing a trip to Wyevale in Worcester Park ? - ta

Took a quick look and they sell two packs of seed potatoes for £5, not many to choose from though.

I did buy some Red Baron onions and a pack of Shallots.

If you have the courage to wait, and don't mind which varieties you get, B&Q normally reduce their seed potatoes to 25p or 50p a bag later on.

I bought seed potatoes in B&Q in Merthyr cheaper only £2.50 for 2.5 KIlos

Cheaper spuds at our lottie shop. Loads of varieties. £1.90 for 3kg. Collection only I'm afraid. Guisborough Allotment shop. Open 10-12am Sat / Sun.

Cheers Deb, got myself Arran pilot and Pentland Javelin for £2.50, as Chris says not too many to choose from but these were the two I had been thinking of buying, result.  ;D ;D ;D

Our Homebase had some in as well, though I didn't check varieties or prices...

These reduced seed potatoes will probably have "sprouts" 6" long or more.Just break them off and new ones will form......they always have for me anyway.

My Wyvale last week had sacks and sacks of bagged seed potatoes. Lots of varieties to choose from too. Earlies, lates, mains etc

OMG we're so behind already and it's only 5th Jan lol!  I haven't even thought about potatoes yet, haven't even got any garlic in yet...  Thanks for letting us know, debjay x
