I had a very close encounter with a heron once! we were at kew gardens and were eating a packed lunch, suddenly one flew over the lake, landed in front of us came after our sandwiches, that beak looks very large close up! we decided to scram when a peacock came from behind us and they started quarreling over a crust. that was def closer to nature than I wanted to be
