All packed and ready
« on: December 20, 2007, 18:38:13 »
Wish me luck, as you wave me goodbye.
Cheerio, here I go,on my way.

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye.
With a cheer, not a tear, make it gay.

Give me a smile,I can keep for a while,
In my heart while I'm away.

Till we meet once again you and I,
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye.

Wish me luck, as you wave me goodbye.
Cheerio, here I go, on my way

Wish me luck, as you wave me goodbye.
With a cheer, not a tear, make it gay

Give me a smile, I can keep for a while,
In my heart while I'm away.
Till we meet once again You and I
wish me luck as you wave me goodbye.

Come on sing along, follow the little black ball

One of the drawbacks of living on an island, is that I have to get up at an unearthly hour to catch a bus, then a boat, then a train, then a plane. then when we get there it is a bus, the metro and last but not least a tram.

But I am fully stocked up with ham rolls, mince pies and 7up laced liberally with gin. So if you spot a jet plane flying in a south easterly direction about 9.00am give us a wave. Oh and watch out for that big block of yellow ice falling from the sky. Especially around the Worthing area.

Now what shall I do all night, try and sleep or just wait it out, surfing and playing patience.

I hope you enjoy yourself Ace, I loved it, I went there on my 40th with the lads, I'd never been on a tram, lovely heated seats, the snow didn't stop the traffic or anyone going to work, they just got their skies out and troddled across the parks or fields and got on with it. London would have come to a standstill. One last thing Ace you couldn't take your bug with you please, pretty please.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

I thought that was the little black ball!

Just make sure you don't jettison that little block of ice too early Ace (might have to protect the greenhouse)!

Have a wonderful time.
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

One of the wonders of the www is that you can catch people talking behind your back when you are away, as I have to keep up with work ,my laptop goes with me and one of the deals  with this apartment is free internet. Anyway snowflakes are falling on my head and it is minus 6 degrees but I just keep drinking the glug (hot spiced mead) and everybody are singing carols and it is like a real old fashioned xmas. The shop downstairs sells chandeliers and we are right in the old town square with the folk dancers, xmas markets  and more glug.

Have a good time everybody, tomorrow is the main xmas day here so I have booked a table at a good eatery, I am going to an outdoors carol concert, then we are off for some more glug.

Merry xmas from your overseas correspondent
