Happy Xmas (war is over) J Lennon and Yoko Ono band did the hair standing thing for me. Yoko's b-side was almost listenable too

One that probably most of you don't know. "On a starry night". Memories of my kids singing it at primary school bring a lump to my throat every time.
Otherwise the oldies like "Chestnuts roasting.." and "Have yourself a merry little Christmas".

I used to have a single called the 12days of Christmas, Wogan used to play it on radio 2 nearly everyday a few years ago, it was a very very funny record.  My husband, when we moved gave every record we had to a charity shop and now i cannot get it anywhere, i know it would make you all laugh if you heard it. Does anyone know which one it is?It was sung by an Irishman.

I love the Greg Lake song I believe in Father Christmas and The Pogues and Kirsty McColl when i am fed up with the commercialism of Christmas. But for a party and when I am feeling cheesy I love The Waitresses and Christmas rapping. And when I am feeling a little nostalgic then the childrens hymns Little Donkey and Three Wise Men (and just to really floor my street cred - not that I ever had any) I like I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus! for real double and toasted cheese because my dad used to sing this to me and my sisters once he'd swiped santas sherry  ;D

Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley, apart from many traditional ones.

Vony.
