Indeed.

Like many of us, I'm only here because my dad survived one.

My dad was in the RAOC, on what mother referred to as 'his joy ride round the continent'.

If anyone watched the film 'A Bridge Too Far' tonight, my dad was one of the supply drivers trying to get from Nimegan to Arnhem.  He never said anything about his war experiences, and he never got any counselling!!

I think it is extremely sad that we need the British Legion more today than we did 60 years ago.

I will be proudly on parade tomorrow. Remembering past and present.

Well said Valmarg.

I served in the Royal Engineers and consider it the best time of my life.

Peter and I exchanged our first kiss on 11th November. It doesn't diminish the day but, given his death, makes it all the more poignant for me.
