Well, next year it will be full of seed trays. I always put a note on the door that reads. *Do Not Open Unless It's Life or Death*  :o

I've got lavender hanging in mine at the moment....it's dry though i should move it now but it smells nice.

I keep moaning because the bathroom (where the airing cupboard is) doesn't have a shower and to have a shower over the bath we'd have to move the bath and everything else around. The house is just over 10 years old so whoever designed it with big useless bathrooms is an idiot!
Anyway my neighbour says "just turn the airing cupboard into a shower cubicle", she says "I don't use mine" and thinks I'm mad because I consider it essential. She'd think I was even madder if she knew half the uses I put it to but she's not a gardener. Plus I like my clothes aired and dry.

New to this veggie lark and just orders £27 worth of seeds. In the past I have tried growing flowers and herbs from seeds and failed miserably. I have the plastic propogaters but always my seeds are spindally with no strength in them, honestly probably not one has ever come to anything.

Should I be putting them in the airing cupboard instead of the window sill????

Kea, maybe your neighbour would let you use hers and you could grow double! ;D

I could just air my clothes in mine and use her empty one for germinating and drying! I froze all my chillies.

Don, I think only certain seeds need to be put into an airing cupboard or heated propagator. Once their little heads pop up you need to bring them out of the cupboard.
If you can only grow them on the windows sills, cut an *L* shaped piece of card to fit your seed tray (one side slips under seed tray the other is like a mirror standing up the back) and cover it with foil to reflect the light. Perhaps turn your seedling every day.
