I did mine last week as well, Im kinda new to veggie growing. So its experimentation with a lot of it ;)

Not going to be able to get to the lottie much, so will probably pop mine in in November. Garlic is also loittering about waiting to be planted. Did manage to get my onions in though.

Kea, not sure about mice, but it certainly fools the pigeons!! I use them to protect brassicas as well for the same reason.
