cleaning related tips wa
« on: July 27, 2007, 15:03:57 »
that's how bored I am this afternoon,
I saw these on a programme once and thought I'd pass them on, I've just found the scrap of paper I jotted them down on
fabric softener 1 to 4 with water for static on the tv
banana skin rubbed over  plant leaves to shine them up
cut edge of a brazil nut for scratches on furniture
used potato water for silver items
white vinegar poured over bicarb in the drains, tried, it works
vinegar and water mix to clean a shower cubicle
I haven't tried them all so
I Accept No responsibility   ;D ;D ;D

On one's servants' day off, one simply sweeps the house with a withering glance.

I'm using my grounded daughter as cleanup crew this week, she is getting really fed up now with us calling her 'Cinders'.....
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Ha, was reminded or rather thinking, reading this thread....y'know the way people get tv progs on dvd e.g. 24, Gilmore Girls, Father Ted, blah blah blah, I was wondering would you be able to get How clean is your house on DVD?

All those tips are magnificent, and they DO get digustingly dirty things sparklingly spotlessly clean. I remember one hovel, the bath was black but not by design. I think they recommended a lemon, cut in half with some, was it salt on it? Just rub it in. It was a white powder, maybe salt would be too harsh on an enameled bath. Maybe baking powder on half a lemon.

Anyway, does anyone on A4A know if the cleaning prog is available?

many thanks.

Googled Amazon they have DVDs that may be of interest. Not a speck of dust in my house, mind you I do need another eye test.
