Saracenias

Has anyone any experience of these plants? I have some in pots and they are getting rather congested. Can they be divided like other herbaceous perennials, if so when. I don't want to lose them as they are a bit expensive to buy.
They are supposed to be hardy to minus 10 degress C so has anyone left them outside overwinter?

All sarras can be divided, try and cut the rhizomes with roots attached. Any peices without roots can be used and will sprout several growth points. Make sure you use a suitable growing medium. Most are fully hardy in th UK. Check out the Carnivorous Plant Society or UKCPS websites. I have a large collection of CPs myself.
