yellow cucumbers

Hi  :)
Just a query about my cucumbers  ???
They are the telegraph variety on one plant I have 2 cucumbers about 12inch long but they are now turning yellow, are they over ripe or is it a defiency ?
any ideas welcome as i was going to show them in our allotment show

Sounds like they are ripening to me... and will stop the plant producing any more.

Wow, long cucumbers.  I agree with saddad, I reakon they are going over so get 'em cut and eat 'em up.  I tend to pick mine when they are between 6 and 8 inches long (or according to Ava, 12 to 14 inches long.  :P :o ;D)
