They look well Tim. Mine are getting bigger and bigger but I want red ones. I had a beautiful aubergine and when I looked the bottom had gone rotten. Is this a common fault like blossom end rot.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Yes Shirlton, but not as common as slug/snail damage... expensive tastes molluscs!

They look a delight Tim. Do you keep that as a perennial?

Too much hassle!

I know some do it with Chillies, but one year's  Chilli crop lasts us several years.

Congrats Tim, looks very healthy - and prolific. Will add to the list for next year :)

I am also adding this to the list for next year.  I have no luck with sweet peppers, and the old man hates them so one plant with fruit like that would be just perfect for lill'ole me.  Looks wonderful Tim!

Tim, you know they will ripen. Gypsy is my most reliable and prolific pepper. Mine are like yours but there is a hint of brownish red to be seen since our summer here in the southwest started four days ago. Quite suddenly the GH toms, peppers and cucumbers seem to be getting on with it at last.

Yes - I'm very patient, but the season of use is rapidly waning.

We normally start picking in mid-July!!

Tim, are they grown under glass?
Smile, it confuses people.

Oh, sorry - I'm always urging people to declare in or out.  Very much in for us - not the best growing area.

This is an earlier planting of Gypsy - with Labrador, a trial variety nearest.

I am so envious of your peppers Tim.  I never achieve such splendour, but then I don't have lashings of room in the greenhouse and tend to grow heaps of chillis as we use lots of them but only a few peppers.  Me thinks I am going to have to construct some sort of polytunnel or greenhouse on the allotment.

I think I need a bigger greenhouse too.

Yes - they are coming along!

This is a later planting than our main lot.

Wow tim they look amazing  :o

How are the plants supported then, it looks like you have a stake but are the branches also supported somehow? x

I am envious Tim, as my peppers have not even flowered yet.

Is it time to throw the plant on the compost heap or should I persevere :-[

Debs - not a lot of hope, I'm afraid. I doubt even my 2-3" green chillies will ripen.

Kitten - string circle every foot. (Did you see my kittens?)

Gypsy is a lovely pepper, so reliable too. Pity it is an F1 hybrid so we can't save the seed. They are so darned expensive! I've just picked the last 4 on my one plant I grew this year.

Also have 2 plants with 5 massive Jumbo Peppers which are starting to turn red. They were the last to ripen last year too.

My small GH is emptying fast!

I've saved Gypsy before and it's seemed ok. Wouldnt hurt to try.
