Not a 0845 number and they even phoned me back as I had to put the phone down half way through. £4 would still work out cheaper for 4 mags  ;)

Got to ask a question thats been nagging in the back of my mind, when they asked if I wanted three extra copies for a pound each they didn't want my credit card number they wanted bank account details which I and OH  found strange is it me or does it sound strange.   ;D ;D ;D

Cornykev, it is to set up a direct debit on the assumption that you will forget to cancel your subscription later.  Easy to cancel online once the £1 has gone.  A lot more hassle to stop them from helping themselves to £8 or so from your credit card to cover the next quarters subscription.

You can cancel your DD with your bank not to pay them again. It is hassle and I never usually do it but I would kick myself if I didn't have a go when everyone said it was easy.

Mine arrived today. Will give a good read through tonight and compare with Kitchen Garden, which I already get.

I've just ordered my freebie and signed up for the £1 bit too.  Don't mind going on to the £8 per month after that as it'll still be cheaper and I won't have to go to the shop for it - it'll land on the mat.  Said I would get it in 3 weeks time - ie. not the 7th September edition - the next one and I should get it before it goes on sale in the shops (whenever that will be).

Just ordered mine too.  ;)
Glad it's being posted to my home address, as I kept forgetting to go and pick it up from newsagents and when I DID remember they had sold out.
Oooops  ;D
