Broken Potatoes -

- A la Jamie. The latest craze in this house.

That was 5 lb of potatoes 30 sec ago - out of focus because it was moving so quickly!

I added some 2/3rds cooked onions about 30 min before the end.

Anything for you, m'dear!

Just realised that I forgot the seasoning - & used duck fat rather than pork. I was fairly generous with the oil. It just did the 8 of us. Here's a link to save me scanning the book.

Have just put same into oven but had Emmental on top. A great fave here too even amongst those who say they do not like
rosemary.

Tim thank you so much, I too would use duck or goose fat,may I ask what you would serve this with.

I feel I would like to make a few spaces among the spuds while in the baking tin as it was just finishing and place an egg to cook in each space.

With a bit of bacon or sausage this would make a lovely lunch dish

May I ask what you do please

Well, I'm going to try this instead of the usual roasties tonight. Looks yummy, thanks for the idea Tim.

Better to overcook, I reckon. So that you get sheets of crunch at the bottom!

resounding sucess Tim!  I added crushed garlic to mine, going to try them with onions as per your suggestion next time. Thank you! ;D
(saddad, the original recipe has no cheese in it, and is delish!)
