A day to remember.
« on: July 28, 2007, 17:42:03 »
We had our first AGM for 10 years at the Court Lane Allotments. We had around 90% attendance and things went very well. The local councillor attended and the meeting was also headed by a rep of the Birmingham Allotments. We were advised as to what funds were available and places to apply to  for help. This afternoon we had our first mini show at the Sutton Coldfield allotments. There are 2 sites across the road from one another so it was a chance to meet those from the other side.I won 3 classes, 2seconds and a third. I told everyone (as ya do) about our lovely site A4A and quite a few said that they might join us so we must keep an eye out for them. All in all a lovely day
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Well done Shirl & Tone!

It was an interesting meeting for a newbie - learned quite a bit about the site that I didn't know before (especially that we had a stream!).

Just wish that I'd looked in a mirror first - then I wouldn't have sat there for an hour with a big stripe of mud across my face  :-[

Well done Shirl and Tony. Great results for you. Sounds like you had a good AGM. Here's hoping you have introduced a few new members to A4A.

Well Lish I got a first with my 5 spuds which were meant to be Arran Pilot (a nice new kidney potato that due to the wet weather had grown into monsters) They looked more like bl888y bakers.lol I got a first with my bowl of sweet peas and another first with my selection of 3 veg. the 2 econds were for beetroot and carrots and a 3rd for courgettes. Well chuffed
