Picked my first fat pod today and scoffed all 6 peas, still warm and sugar sweet! Tomorrow nite, Ava and the kids will be on pea picking duty!  :P

Nope, I have never picked home grown peas and cooked them!  They are eaten fresh from the pod, or if there are a few that the kids don't eat (and me...and Ava  ;)) then they are lovely scattered as nature intended over our salad!  Mental note for me next year, do lots more peas and protect with fleece to keep the pigeons off!

Was just going to say that you are all behind in other things (your quote), & are making up for it. Then I saw the photos of your plot - wish I had a half of that produce!! = Tim

You are making me jealous - my one lot of peas are just starting to bulge - about half a cm fat.

Must be patient.

Picked the first mange tout today - I just love them. Still plenty to come on that row and second row about 2" high. Jaguar and Balmoral peas in flower and some pods bulking up with the second rows about 2" high as well.  Must keep watering, must keep watering!!
