Hi Cornykev, depends what you're looking for, but I bought mine at B&Q yesterday for £20.  However as I discovered to my cost today, it's not good with grass any higher than ankle length as it just wraps around the wheels and clogs up! So I think when the coffers are a little better, it'll have to be the strimmer.   :( :( :(

Hi posie, good to hear you're making some progress  ;D

We borrowed a petrol strimmer from a friend and it worked a treat - how about asking around on your site to see if anyone has one they'd lend you?  Or if they don't want to lend but don't mind strimming it for you, then perhaps you could dig some spuds up for them in return or something?

Good luck, and make sure you're taking plenty of photos as you go, so you can look back in a few months and show off your hard work  ;)  ;D

Cornykev, check if you have a branch of freecycle on the web for your area and maybe post up on there for one.  Managed to get a strimmer today Kitten, so I'm off up there tomorrow for round 2, I'm so proud I even took a pic of the wonky path I managed yesterday lol!  ;D
