Checked our Wilko's yesterday and they had put all the seed packets in a trolley - some marked half price the rest still full price!  Most of the packets were flowers not veg, so I resisted temptation  :)
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

2 of my biggest vices are seed collection and getting a bargain , so at times like this, I am doomed!!!!

OK, this is all your fault, I had to go to Wilco's today after all your bargain talk..............NO SEEDS AT ALL ON DISPLAY (hopes dashed).......................

Walked around and had a look, couldn't see any anywhere (small sob). Picked up a few other bits and pieces, saw youth stacking shelves and asked if any seeds around : "Dunno, think we sold them all, they were 75% off " YES I KNOW!!!!!!  "Will have to ask my Supervisor..........." OK off you go then...........

Supervisor says, 'I'm sure we have a few left somewhere, hang on..."(hopes raised again).......but no, can't find them.....(Arrrrrrrrrgh, hopes dashed again).

Paid for items, just walking out when I spot what looks suspiciously like seed packets in a shopping basket under the 'bargain' counter......YES, a whole basket of bargains!!!!  Gleeful dance around Wilco's!!

I covert the basket and start sorting through with the air of a lioness protecting her cubs........I nearly growl at a bloke who shows interest as I'm sorting through the different packets, lots are of the same plants but I just know there are some gems if I look hard enough........20 minutes later I have 20 packets of seeds, mostly Johnsons, some Wilco's own, 12 packets of flowers, 8 veg.........can't work out the price in my head as they are all different prices but at this point I don't care because it must be a bargain right?  £7.60 total.............YIPEEE!!!! ;D ;D ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

My husband works at the Wilko warehouse and so we rarely go to the store.  However, they have a sale at the warehouse for staff where they sell damaged stuff - or stuff that is missing a screw, has an extra leg, broken packaging etc etc.

So on Saturday we ended up with:
A water butt (top of tap broken off but otherwise fine)
Gas BBQ (bit missing from wheels)
Solar lights (nothing wrong with them - customers "forget" to turn them on and assume they don't work and return them)
Metal and wood bench (hopefully for allotment but looks like they may not be allowed)

Various other bits and pieces for the house mainly.

All cost £20 :D

Unfortunately not  :(  BUT, they do drop the odd bag of compost so they happen to end up in the sale.....  ;)

Oh No!!!!  ;D
It's alll your fault that I came out of Wilkos today with 20 packets of seeds!!!
(Suppose I cant complain, I only spent £5)
But now you are making me go to Wyevale as well ???
I have just sent off an order with real seeds and have a list of things that I would like from the Organic catalogue.
I only have one small plot, I think I will need 10 after all this :'(
Sue

Still in the plot   36 Leeks, 1x rows parsnips, 2x  rows chard, psb, broccoli, 5 rows garlic, 1 row swede, lots of onions - started in rows, but the birds had them and now they are random!!
