Weekend away and plastic greenhouse...
« on: June 07, 2007, 20:44:00 »
What do I do?
Away from tomorrow night til Monday afternoon, will have someone popping in to feed the rabbit/guinea and chickens so I could in theory ask them to give it all a sprinkle...

Or can I leave them with a good watering or a bit in the bottom of the trays for the ones that are stood in trays?

Blimey its worse than having kids/pets!!
Cheers!

A lot depends upon what you have in the greenhouse and the weather.

The forecast for the next couple of days is warm but not heatwave conditions so what you have growing seems to be the main criteria.

Give them all a good soaking before you leave, unless of course this friend looking after the animals is prepared to look after things.

All I can add to that is;

peas
berlotto beans
mixed salad leaves
basil
capsicum

Put outdoors in a sheltered spot where they will not get washed away if there is exceptionally heavy rain.

Couldn't you plant these out? if not do as above.

Couldn't you plant these out? if not remove pop bottles so they don't get over warm.

Sorry I can't suggest anything better than this!

SOME of the tomatoes are almost ready to plant out, but the best are still only about 4 inches long  ;D

the rest are still V V small, not really plant outable plus I won't get to the plot today and we go this afternoon. Will leave note for chicken feeder and hope she keeps an eye - think she will :)

Cheers again
