East Sussex Meet?????
« on: June 03, 2007, 20:02:56 »
I was wondering if anyone would like to meet in East Sussex?

Plan was, everyone can go wherever they would like during the day, google East Sussex Gardens and you get the jist! (so many to vist!!)

Then back at mine for an A4All barbeque?   (think would need  to sort out the meat side, perhaps everyone pays something? as a caterer I can get my hands on bulk stuff and work out how much per head?, but I could probably cover the salads, COURGETTES  ;D etc!)

Anyone interested?

That sound smashing and I love to go to BBQ gatherings and take stuff too,but I think it would be too far for us. I feel sad now.............XX Jeannine

Distinct possibility for me providing dates are compatible. ;D
A visit to the Weald and Downland open air museum is always hot favourite here. ;D

Doris, I will take a look at the trains,I would have to stay over somewhere though  and John would not be able to come as it is too long to leave the Pekes. Can you tell me what city you are in and I will see what the choo choo says.School summer hols best for me but that is 6 weeks away.

I will look into it further, and if there is anyone I could team up with I would appreciate it if they could tell me.

Especially  if anyone is planning to stay over somewhere

I have had a google and it is out of the question for me, the trip is too long and 4 trains and a tube.

So you will all have to take lots of pictures to share.

DP. Oh boy you know how I love East Sussex having lived near you for 5 glorious years. As soon as you have a date I may be able to persuade son to bring me. Recently he has had a couple of trips to Kent & Sussex  to look at the house where his wife was born and also to show his wife where we lived in Mayfield. On last trip he met up with our old neighbour and he did say he would take me to see the neighbour so here's hoping.

Righty ho.......how does the 1st September sound?  Or the weekend after that, the 8th? (kids will be back at school then though)
The only weekends I can do in August are the 4th and the 11th.
