Andy, as a keen amature photographer I can honestly say I'm looking at a good photo. Steady hand is apparent. Nice one.

Thanks Ken
Steady hand is helped by the mode 2 camera shake facility!!!
I took 2, the other is better.
Wondering if to send it to the countryfile calender photo competition which is "all creatures great and small" this year (no pets)
Have another I would like to send, can send 4.
But of course there is strong competition.....

I'm guessing the lens was a 90 or 100mm. The depth of field is what makes it interesting and I see you have the focus set to centre, a slightly wider focus might have taken in more leaf detail, but the object is the bee so that's not a bad point. If this was taken without a tripod then I take my hat off to you, if you had the set-up in 'auto' it must have been a very sunny day for your camera's shutter to work fast enough. Again, well done. Get the pic publicised....and copyrighted!

Ken
It is a 12x optical zoon (48x digital)
35mm equiv.
36-432
I didn`t use the tripod for the bee shots but did for the ladybird but it was a failure...

No tripod? Then that makes it even more special. Good one.
