Borlotti beans
« on: June 01, 2007, 12:32:56 »
I started some borlotti beans probably way too early at the beginning of April. They have been outside for about 5 weeks. Not surprisingly the poor little chaps look pale, sickly and thin although they have flowered and have teeny beans but is it now too late to sow outside?

It's fine to sow them direct now.

Of all the beans I grow, I think these are the most wonderful. They grow about 7-8ft on my allotment, the canes are not longer so I have no idea if they can grow higher. 90 plants this year, hope that indicates how much we like them !

They come as climbers and bush
When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.
