Tent pegs/hooks for your Mini-Gs
« on: May 29, 2007, 21:43:37 »
For those of you worried about your mini-greenhouses doing a Mary Poppins in the breeze, Poundstretcher sells packs of 10 metal pegs - about 10" long! - for a quid. I use them for the MGs, plus keeping my weed suppressant in place. At that length, they go in deep enough to do the job.

Speaking of mini-greenhouses, if you decide to dismantle them when you're finished for the season (I do),  first wash the covers in warm water with some disinfectant added to prevent nasties from lurking. When you rinse them out, add some baby oil (or similar) to the water to avoid the plastic covers going brittle (make sure they're completely dry before storing).
Lesson for life:
1. Breathe in     2. Breathe out     3. Repeat

I bought some of these this morning from Poundland ;D

I also picked up a couple of 10m rolls of cheap hosepipe, to cut into hoops to make mini polytunnel/cloches over beds – thanks to whoever posted the idea on here originally ;)
