pet !! rabbit
« on: May 11, 2007, 17:24:35 »
there's a 'pet' rabbit loose on the bowling green next to the allotments, we've had to put mesh fencing on the bottom of the gate..
I tried to catch it, grabbed it by the scruff, lifted it to put my hand under it and it SCREAMED..dug all it's claws in my arm, cutting my wrist and got away..I don't think it wants to be caught..
I don't know why I tried, the owner's not bothered  :(
I'm worried, there's feral cats and people walk their dogs around there  :-\

If it's an unloved pet & a problem for the bowling green, you hold it still on the ground, push your thumb into the back of it's neck & lift the head back quickly. Broken neck in a fraction of a second - a humane, ethical & ecologically sound solution.

Personally, I would consider cooking it too but that's optional.

If it's left running around - uncared for, unwanted & unloved, it's just going to end up starving to death or worse... and as an animal lover I would find that unacceptable.
