Another 'numpty' question  ::)  ;D

I've got bush tomatoes in the greenhouse that have got flowers on. I think that's normal?

But the others (mainly Ailsa Craig and other varieties I've forgotten what they are) have ALSO got flowers on and they're only about a foot tall.

Isn't it a bit early for them to be flowering? I thought they had to grow up to the ceiling before that sort of thing happened?

I've only been growing tomatoes for 4 yrs. Please humour me in my obvious ignorance!  ;) Just can't remember this happening last year?

i've another 12 or so plants coming along tim, i will get some more bags and try your method (having nearly run out of black buckets too lol).

hope it's ok, trixie, all my tigerella and golden sunrise have flowers on and they're only about 10" tall  ;D

Back to 'the book' - which says plant out your toms when the have the first flower truss - ie at about 8" tall!!
