Maincrop potatoes
« on: May 26, 2004, 20:37:51 »
My maincrop (Valor) have only been in the ground for a month, the tops are about 9" high but they are already developing flowerheads..is this normal? Strange because my second earlies (Charlotte) have been in the ground for 2 months and not a sign of flowers!

Earthed them up by about 2/3 , just wondering whether I was sent seed with wrong labels on.

I would have thought it's a bit early for Valor but according to http://194.128.220.6/web01/aweb/td004/td_01204.htm Charlotte only flowers occasionally
