Potential Cordless Drill Bargain in Argos
« on: April 29, 2007, 10:43:48 »
I bought a cordless drill in Argos this week.  Down from £28 to £14, which seemed like a good price for buying for working on the allotment.  The best part of the deal though was that it was on the site as an 18V, 3 - 5 hour charge drill.  But when it came out of the back it had magically transformed into a 24V, 1 hour charge drill.

On further investigation (thank you MoneySavingExpert) it turns out that this is happening country-wide.  What they recommend on there is asking to view it before you buy it, to see whether it's the 18V or the 24V that your store has in stock.  Even for an 18V, I would think £14 is a good price, but for a 28V, it's excellent.

Almost forgot to put the link in  :o - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7110340.htm
