Glad to see I'm not the only one with the odd irritating neighbour. He is the only one on my site mind, everybody else is lovely (except for the newbies who started - couple of teenage brothers and their mum, who proceeded to raid 9 plots in one night and steal from their neighbours!) How rude!

Is it actually your 'back yard' Tim?

Thats what I have always wanted ...........just to walk out the back door and have all the gardening space I have now within spitting distance.

Beats driving three miles!!

I like it!!

I know! lol. Earlier that very same day they theived from us, I had given them a load of seed potatoes, peas, and strawberry plants! Cheeky beggars! Our stuff mysteriously reappeared, along with the man next door's stuff after I went to have a chat with them, made a big thing about theives, didn't say I knew it was them, but he went really pale and ran off, when I went to leave the plot, all our stuff had been put back behind the gate! lol.

That is disgusting you know, they will probably nick your stuff when ready to harvest as well and that is heart breaking.

I think I would leave a big note somewhere to say that we are aware of the identity of the thieves on our lottie as we now have proof positive, and we will prosecute if it does not stop!!

They don't know you are bluffing and they won't know who has written the note either, but I bet they will not take the chance.

Rotten lot.

I have a man next door to my plot, whose main occupation seems to be telling me that:
I need more on my shovel
need to get my plants in now
my shed needs painting
not done much recently have you?

etc etc.
What an annoying berk!

TG - yes. We had 2 allotments about 1/2 mile up the road, but I got lazy - & older!!

Just to prove it -

1. More dug.
2. That's in my night attire this am!!
3. An old photo showing our 2 little bits, one to the North & one to the South. You can see the big greenhouse on the right.

Newbies - tell him I haven't been to my plot in 3 weeks. That'll shock him. I've only got garlic and the mere 2 broan bean plants that have survived! Oh, and a nice flower bed. Painted shed??? Seriously? Mine's not even built yet and is a freebie with plenty of rotted bits. I'm worried about it staying up enough to keep me dry in the rain, not if it's recently painted. ;)

We have our first council inspection (well, my first) in April. I'm sure it'll be fine but I can't help be paranoid.  :-\

Tina.

PS - for what it's worth, should have said 'North is on the left'.
