i'm sure most of you have heard of Keele University in Staffordshire?!?
Well, in our local paper last night was a full page story about how the uni is going to encourage it's students to "grow their own".
They will be provided with an area of land in a nearby field to use as allotments, with members of the public being invited to lend a hand with advice!
There could also (in the future) be scope for ordinary joe bloggs to be able to rent an allotment if this project goes well.
The uni already owns this land, and seeing as the labour costs would be minimal (student labour), i cannot understand how this will cost the tax payer........
...............................£20,000 squid!!!!!
is it just me not seeing the bear for the trees?
comments would be greatly appreciated!!!
