Saw the first damsel fly of the summer this afternoon. Too late to see it actually emerge, but the old larva case was still attached to an iris leaf.

I saw my first one today too. It was a little red one and there was also a clear one tinged with blue.
They should be up in Scotland by the weekend, Eileen:)
