My Bargain!
« on: March 13, 2007, 14:37:44 »
With the weather being so great have cracked on in the garden. ;D

Neighbour decided he wanted to remove the laurel hedge to our right, so have helped him get out the roots etc. And he is now in the process of putting up fence panels. (with a little help from me!)

But the biggest bit of excitement was we worked out how much the deck was going to cost, and had sort of come to the decision that we just couldn't afford it this year, but a mate turned up with loads of roof rafters and wondered if we could use them. Could we use them, OF COURSE!!!  :D
So as you can see, we now have decking of sorts!! Only cost £14.00 for the breeze blocks, and we are hopefully going to get some sort of preservative on it, if it only lasts a year I will be VERY happy! What a bargain. ;) ;D

Will be growing some tall strappy pond plants along the front, well that is the plan anyway!

The boat on the pond was a birthday pressy from a friend, cos the family keep referring to the pond as "The Lake".! ;D ;D
