Was This A Good Buy?
« on: March 17, 2007, 22:49:10 »
Hi there we have been getting the stuff together to make our own poly tunnel and make a structure to grow our colly and cabbage etc in.

I just brought a roll of this Blue Water mains pipe 50mm diameter off ebay for £50 and for another £10 the man dropped ot off at my flat.

Did make one boob though, didn't relise just how big a coil of water mains pipe was.................now how do i get this monster down the allotment ???

Hi Baggieboy   IN our local DIY shop  the 25M costs £45, I don't know how long your pipe is? and if our shop is that expensive

Luckily my dad works for Anglian Water - I'm using the pipe to make cloches for the raised beds.

Old timers down the plot keep asking me if I'm getting mains installed (we have no water down the plot)

Hoop and stick comes to mind.

I used to go every where with mine when I was a kid. Then somebody nicked it one day and  I had to walk home ;D

I  think it might work really well. Just get it down to the plot and cut it into maneagable bits.
